As part of the FINLIT project for the empowerment of rural NEET youth (Project Number: 2024-3-RO01-KA210-YOU-000295637), we had the incredible opportunity to explore a cutting-edge method of learning about money and finances in the beautiful city of Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. 💸

Guided by Ana Raquel Paula, participants experienced a financial educational escape room — an immersive adventure that turns financial literacy into an exciting challenge. 🗝🔐 Through engaging puzzles and team-based tasks, young people were encouraged to develop critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, unlocking not only the challenges in the room but also their own financial knowledge and abilities.

This creative and interactive approach makes learning about money management both fun and meaningful. It equips rural youth, especially refugees and those with limited opportunities, with confidence and practical skills for managing their finances. By blending education with gamification, FINLIT empowers young people to take control of their financial future, fostering independence, resilience, and growth. 💡🌱

The FINLIT project demonstrates that financial education can be more than just numbers — it can be an adventure that inspires, engages, and transforms.
